Define the structure and scope of your consolidated budget by configuring the following fields:
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the consolidated budget report (e.g., "FY2024 Consolidated Budget" or "2024 Company-Wide Forecast"). This identifier appears in QuickBooks reports and budget variance analyses.
Interval: Select the reporting period: Monthly (detailed period-by-period GL tracking), Quarterly (aligned with quarterly financial statements), or Yearly (annual consolidated forecast).
Hide Archived Budgets: Enable this option to exclude archived or inactive budgets from the consolidated report. This keeps your current budget view focused on active GL forecasts.
Hide Empty Rows in Generated Report: Check this to remove GL accounts with zero allocations from the consolidated budget. This reduces report clutter and highlights only accounts with active budget forecasts.
Select the consolidation method for your budget structure:
Consolidated: Display budget across all GL accounts and cost centers in a single unified view for company-wide variance analysis.
Subdivided: Segment the consolidated budget by customer for detailed departmental budget control and P&L accountability.
